I will give this speaker 5 stars if the equalizer lightshow returns and better lightshow response to the music/lose the boring light shows.īig sound in small package Coming from a guy whose ears have been spoiled with the warm smooth sound of a tube amplifier, Considering the size of the speaker, the sound quality is EXCELLENT!. I understand this might save some battery, but I find it frustating when I accidentally hit the JBL Connect button because I cant see the volume down button. Pretty much all of the other buttons light up except the volume and play/pause buttons. Hopefully an app update will allow new and improved light shows that sync to your music, otherwise the light shows are boring unless you're playing with the app, which isn't something I use often, unless Im playing the white noises (the bonfire and rainfall white noises are awesome!!)Īnother thing I wish this speaker had were lit up volume buttons. Heck, I miss all of the light shows from the original Pulse. The only complaint I have with the light show is the lack of the equalizer effect the original pulse had as several other reviewers have said. Just having the light show going on anywhere nearby truly does add life to the room, with or without music playing. The light show on this speaker is VERY nice to look at. Im just scared of blowing the radiators by playing at full volume. I live in a unit with attached neighbours and sometimes fear the bass from this thing could be disturbing them as I can still feel the bass from the speaker even from another room. The sound will still fill a reasonably sized room with sound. The sound on this thing is a perfect balance of highs, mids and lows if the speaker is facing you as it seems like the actual speakers, only face out from the logo side of the speaker. And I should also mention that very small specks of dirt, dust, etc can get stuck in the tiny holes, however JBL made them big enough so I can usually just pluck them out or use a pin. That being said, I still wouldn't let this baby fall on the floor as it could probably dent the "grill" surrounding the LED's exterior. Instantly you will notice the build on this speaker feels even more solid and durable in your hand. Once I found out the Pulse 2 was being launched, patiently waited for its Canadian release and bought one right away. I love this speaker! I originally bought the Pulse 1 during a weekend of camping up north, and it created such a cool ambiance for our nights around the bonfire. Not as portable, though good for all around the home, and garage/workshop When paired on JBL Connect, sound doesn't sync with picture when watching videos.Ĭannot charge usb devices like the Charge 2 (bummer) Overall it's still good, it needs more improvements though, maybe version 3? I don't think I would have paid full price for these.Ĭool JBL Connect feature (only up to 2 devices though) When both of our Pulse 2s are synced together when watching videos, the sound is not synced with the picture which is a bummer because the surround audio sounds way better. Issues with JBL Connect: there is a delay when it is paired with our other Pulse 2. The light feature is pretty awesome, it really sets the mood and feels livelier. We were initially looking at the Charge 2 since it has phone charging feature (but not the JBL Connect feature, why?), i'm not sure why they did not include that option onto the Pulse 2. I wish we could go lower on the volume setting because the lowest setting can still be loud as I set it on my nightstand. The bass isn't too deep, it's more of a loud and clear. It sounds alright as a single, but when it's paired up through the JBL Connect feature, the surround sound is mighty awesome. Customize your light show experience and configure your JBL Connect settings, all at the tip of your fingers with the JBL Connect app.Ĭould of been better, but good overall We actually bought two (his/hers) since we got it for an extreme of a deal and also for the JBL Connect feature. Pulse 2 also features a noise and echo cancelling speakerphone for crystal clear calls, and JBL Connect technology that can wirelessly link multiple JBL Connect enabled speakers together to amplify the listening experience. The splashproof design enables the Pulse 2 to light up any stage or show with high-quality stereo sound for up to 10 hours of playtime, thanks to its built-in 6000mAh rechargeable Li-ion battery. Just point and shoot the lens at the color you want, and watch the Pulse 2 amplify the colors of life. Take full control of your Pulse 2 light show using JBL Prism color sensor lens. Elevate your music experience to another dimension with the JBL Pulse 2, a portable Bluetooth speaker that offers sensational sound with an interactive light show.īring your music to life with glowing, multi-coloured visuals and transform wherever you are into a party.
